The formal proceedings began with opening remarks, setting the stage for the keynote address delivered by Matt Gevaert, PhD, co founder and board member of Kiyatec. Gevaert shared insights from his extensive experience in biotechnology, inspiring attendees with discussions on innovative approaches to personalized medicine. Following the keynote, student researcher Max Muir was honored as the Student Researcher of the Year, recognizing his exemplary contributions to medical research.
