Monroe is not only home of the Monroe Coca-Cola Bottling Company, but is also the birthplace of Delta Airlines, which still provides commercial service out of the Monroe Regional Airport. Centrally located in northeast Louisiana, there is easy access to Shreveport, Louisiana (100 miles to the west), and Vicksburg, Mississippi (75 miles to the east), along Interstate 20. The region boasts miles and miles of rivers, streams and bayous—truly a sportsman’s paradise cradled in the Lower Mississippi Delta.

VCOM-Louisiana campus has a collaborative agreement with the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) for education, research and student activities. This collaboration means that the VCOM-Louisiana community is very much part of the ULM community. VCOM students have access to ULM student support services as well as the university’s libraries, recreational facilities, food services, parking, transportation and student life. VCOM faculty conduct research with colleagues in the ULM School of Pharmacy, Kinesiology College and the biology department. VCOM and ULM faculty also share space in each other’s laboratories.
