Thank you for being here when VCOM students needed it the most
T he events of this past year clearly underscore the need for and importance of educating physicians. Amid all the heartbreak and challenges, philanthropy has been a shining beacon of hope for our students, administrators, faculty and staff. Your support in these uncertain times enabled VCOM to make extraordinary progress in educating our students and improving the healthcare for families— especially for those families living in the Southeastern United States. Since its founding, VCOM has placed tremendous emphasis on its commitment to others. We seek daily to inspire and equip our students with cutting-edge technology, compassion and a purpose to bring quality, accessible healthcare to those who need it most. While we have experienced dramatic growth over the years, we remain committed
to providing the highest levels of affordable medical education to combat the shortage of primary care physicians. As we look ahead to a new year of hope and promise, we are guided by the College’s mission in preparing globally-minded, community-focused physicians to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations. We have ambitious goals, and the entire VCOM community appreciates you and your valued support in what we have done and will continue to do now and into the future. Thank you again for sharing your resources to support the mission of the College and the future of medicine. Your generosity is helping us to train the next generation of physicians who are making a tremendous impact on the communities where they work and serve. ■
