W hen you hear the word “research,” you might think of a lone scientist in a lab with glass beakers, test tubes and analytical equipment. Modern research is so much more than that. It takes great minds, such as the researchers at VCOM, to move from inspiration and ideas to building expert research teams and projects that will benefit people around the globe. Research takes teamwork and collaboration. Many individuals, sometimes in different locations, each specializing in different areas, will join together to combine their knowledge, specialized equipment, facilities and even supercomputers in a collaborative effort to improve the lives of humanity through research.
