clinics in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Honduras provide sustainable care to populations in need while educating students to become globally-minded, community- focused physicians. Collaboration is key to VCOM’s international outreach initiatives. In addition to having approvals from the local ministries of health, VCOM has medical school partnerships in each country. The goal of these partnerships is to share knowledge in evidence-based medicine and new technology to advance medical education globally. New or completely remodeled VCOM- affiliated clinics in all three countries are indicative of the significant impact VCOM has on health care in Honduras, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic. These clinics set a new standard for each country, according to the Ministers of Health.
