2019 First VCOM United Company Foundation Scholars

“A scholarship program like this helps bring doctors back to practice in rural, medically underserved areas,” according to President Dixie Tooke-Rawlins. “The United Company Foundation challenge grant and the generous support provided early by the Street family is going to make an extraordinary impact on the region, bringing more physicians back to communities that truly need their help and expertise.” In commenting about The United Company Foundation support, Lois Clarke, President of the Foundation, said, “We strongly support the mission of VCOM. As a board, we feel the scholarship program is not just an investment in the students but an investment in the health and future of the region.” Brandon Nave, DO, from Bristol, Virginia and Olivia Osborne, DO, from Norton, Virginia, are the first two United Company Foundation Scholars and recently graduated in the VCOM-Virginia Class of 2020.
