VCOM - 2019 Annual Report

Annual Fund Dollars in Action

F rom the beginning, the education of each VCOM student has been subsidized by the generosity of its founders, alumni, parents and friends. Thanks to this continued tradition of philanthropy, VCOM is one of the least expensive private medical schools in the nation. US News and World Report , ranked VCOM as fourth lowest in tuition and fees for private medical schools.

In addition, VCOM provides each student with health and disability insurance. Annual Fund gifts go toward VCOM’s highest priorities, allowing the College to meet core commitments, pursue new initiatives and be responsive in ways that improve student education and the quality of life across all VCOM campuses.

“ We are very pleased and proud to support VCOM, a college that is committed to improving the health and welfare of those living in rural and medically underserved communities. We know our gift each year to the VCOM Annual Fund makes a difference in the life of its students and also in the College’s ability to provide care at free clinics and health fairs all across southern Appalachia. ” Reggie and Shirley Powell Longtime Friends of VCOM
