AUBURN Wei Liu, PhD
Jeremy “J.J.” White, DO, PhD Dr. White is the discipline chair for emergency medicine at VCOM–Auburn. His research interests include the application of emerging medical technologies to medical education, patient care, underserved populations and disaster response. Dr. White has a grant funded through VCOM’s internal program: • VCOM REAP: Wireless Ecosystem in Mass Casualty Assessment and Triage (WEMCAT) . Skip Garner, PhD, and Fred Rawlins II, DO, are investigators on this project.
Dr. Liu is an associate professor for biomedical affairs and research at VCOM–Auburn. His research focuses primarily on biomechanics of human locomotion, and rehabilitation interventions relevant for musculoskeletal and neuromuscular diseases such as knee osteoarthritis, multiple sclerosis and stroke. Dr. Liu is currently working on the following VCOM funded project: • VCOM REAP: Effect of Tai Chi exercise on mechanical joint loading and biology response in knee osteoarthritis . Investigators on this work are Mark Sanders, DO; Donald Langley, DO; Kenny Brock, DVM, PhD; and David Stephen, DO.
