Growth in VCOM Applications Classes of 2013-2016

A s part of VCOM’s successful commitment to lessen the shortage of physicians, the College recruits students from, provides training in, and returns skillful physicians to provide care for medically underserved areas, especially those in the southern Appalachian region. As a result of this targeted recruitment, VCOM reports that 91% of students are from Appalachian states.
