VCOM 2017 Annual Report

inspired by compassion and giving

Sower Scholarship Fund “ VCOM has laid the groundwork for future physicians to be comfortable working and interacting with a variety of individuals from all economic and cultural backgrounds. We are impressed by VCOM’s commitment to the recruitment, retention and enhancement of minorities. The college’s mission and commitment to a diverse student body encouraged us to create the “Sower Scholarship.” As with the Parable of the Sower in the Bible, we want to assist the College in maintaining and enhancing the educational benefits that all students receive from a diverse student body.” ” – Drs. Frank and Jennifer Clark The Balmer Foundation “ The Trustees of the Balmer Foundation and I are delighted to support the renovation of the DuPre House. As good community partners, we believe the renovation of this beautiful, historic building on the VCOM campus shows how much we care about our history in Spartanburg County and appreciate the positive impact the College has on the community. ” – Monty Mullen Corporate Support Foundation Support The Development Office offers foundations and corporations a coordinated, high-level point of engagement for working with the College. We focus on aligning College strengths with the goals of corporate and foundation partners to maximize the impact of partnerships and philanthropic investments.
