College backup and recovery procedures are tested and verified on a quarterly basis. This also includes smaller monthly tests to verify data integrity. These processes have been operationalized for multiple IT staff to support these operations in the occurrence of a business continuity event. VCOM collaborates closely with affiliated clinical partners to maintain continuity of clinical education. The College coordinates with clinical training sites to assess operational status, support student placements, and implement alternative arrangements as necessary to ensure student progression and attainment of required competencies. See Policy S009: VCOM Policy on Assuring the Clinical Education Curriculum for more information. 3. STUDENT AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES CONTINUITY VCOM will maintain continuity of essential student support services during catastrophic events. These services include, but are not limited to: Such services will be provided through alternative delivery methods as necessary to ensure continued student support and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. 4. WORKFORCE CONTINUITY VCOM will maintain continuity of essential institutional operations during catastrophic events through coordinated planning, reassignment of responsibilities, and implementation of alternative work arrangements as necessary. The College may designate essential personnel and implement modified work structures, including remote work or reassignment of duties, to ensure continuation of academic, administrative, and support functions. Faculty and staff responsibilities may be adjusted to support continuity of instruction, student services, and institutional operations. Compensation, leave, and benefits during such events will be administered in accordance with applicable VCOM Human Resources policies and procedures. VCOM will maintain continuity of critical business and financial operations, including payroll, procurement, and financial transactions necessary to support ongoing operations. Financial processes, including tuition adjustments and refunds, will be administered in accordance with institutional policies and procedures, adhering to applicable regulatory requirements. The College will take reasonable measures to support continuity of research activities, where applicable, consistent with safety, regulatory, and funding requirements.
