Health Services VCOM ensures that diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic health services are available to students within the campus community and in the communities of our core hospital sites through agreements with primary care health providers. Health services are confidential. Students are provided with information regarding these services at the beginning of each academic year. The information for eligible providers at each core site is also provided to OMS 3 and OMS 4 students by the DSME and Site Coordinator. Provider information can also be found on the VCOM website. OMS 1- OMS 4 students in their campus community can utilize the physical healthcare provider listed below. OMS 3 and OMS 4 students who are not near campus can utilize a healthcare provider from the list provided at: https://www.vcom.edu/students/student-services-health/insurance. Students who need healthcare services outside of the office hours of the healthcare providers listed must visit their local emergency room or urgent care office. All students, OMS 1 – OMS 4, who have VCOM health insurance, have access to LiveHealth Online where they can access psychology, psychiatry, and general medical appointments via video appointment. There is no out-of pocket cost for students who are covered, and services are available to family members for a fee. Students who are eligible can schedule an appointment by registering at www.LiveHealthOnline.com or by calling 1-888-548-3432 (24/7 line). Students can also download the Sydney Health app or LiveHealth app from the app store. All services are confidential. Health professionals providing health services to students, through a physician-patient relationship, must recuse him/herself from the academic assessment or promotion of the student receiving those services.
