Distinguished Student Scholar Awards

The Distinguished Student Scholars Award recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in a core clinical discipline, as recommended by the Department Chair and faculty in that discipline for having been awarded honors in the discipline, evaluated by the clinical site faculty as one of the top students, provided consistent, compassionate care to patients, participated in additional outreach programs, appropriate to the specialty, and exemplifies the osteopathic philosophy.

Student of the Year

The Student of the Year Award is not for one discipline or rotation, but an award for the student with the overall most outstanding performance at his or her clinical site over the entire third year. This is an incredible honor by which one of our top students provided consistent, compassionate care to patients; was respectful and empowering to office and hospital staff; and exemplified the osteopathic philosophy.
