COMSAE Phase 1 and COMLEX Level 1 and approving the students’ testing date.  Students enrolled in VCOM’s National Board Preparation course must sit for their third attempt of COMSAE Phase no later than 1 week following the conclusion of the immersion program.  Students who do not choose to attend an external immersion program and who choose to follow an independent study plan must sit for the regularly scheduled third attempt of COMSAE Phase 1.

o Option 2: Follow an independent study plan.

12.1.3 COMSAE Phase 1: Third Attempt

A. Students who score 460 or greater on COMSAE Phase 1 on the third attempt will retain the “IP” (In Progress) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course. To resolve the “IP” grade, the student must sit for COMLEX Level 1. Once the student sits for COMLEX Level 1 they will be promoted to the OMS 3 year (provided they have met all other course requirements). • Students enrolled in VCOM’s National Board Prep course at the time of their third COMSAE attempt and who pass their third COMSAE attempt must sit for COMLEX Level 1 within 60 days of the first day of the course. o Upon sitting for COMLEX Level 1 within the required timeframe, the student will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course (provided they have met all other course requirements) and will be promoted to the OMS 3 year. o Those students enrolled in VCOM’s National Board Prep course who do not sit for COMLEX Level 1 within 60 days of being enrolled in the course will receive an “INC” (Incomplete) grade for the National Board Prep Course and the Comprehensive Review Course and will not be eligible for promotion to the OMS 3 year. These students will be temporarily withdrawn until they receive a passing COMLEX Level 1 score. Once the student is temporarily withdrawn, they must sit for COMLEX Level 1 within 60 days or be dismissed by the Campus Dean. These students will not be eligible for re-enrollment or further financial aid until they pass COMLEX Level 1.  Upon receiving a passing score on COMLEX Level 1, the student

will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course (provided they have met all other course requirements) and will be promoted to the OMS 3 year.

• Students not enrolled in VCOM’s National Board Prep course and who are following an independent study plan at the time of their third COMSAE attempt
