DURATION OF POLICY ..................................................................................................................... 5 PURPOSE The purpose of the VCOM Policy on Administrative Staff, Classified Staff, and Select Wage Employees Recruitment is to describe the processes for requisitioning and hiring new or replacement administrative and classified staff, and wage employees. Successful implementation of this policy will help VCOM recruit staff and select wage employees who are not only qualified, but who embrace the values and commitment to the mission of VCOM. Also, successful implementation of this policy will reduce the costs associated with turnover, will help ensure that the hiring process is compliant with applicable federal, state and local rules and regulations, and will help ensure a smooth transition of new employees into the VCOM family. 2.
