Comprehensive Review Course II. To resolve the “IP” or “F” grade and be released to sit COMLEX Level 2 CE, the student is required to do the following: • Meet with CIFSS and the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs for the failure of the first attempt (will meet with the Associate Dean for OMS 4 and GME for a second attempt failure) to design a prescribed remediation plan. The plan includes a tentative date the student is to sit for a second attempt of COMSAE Phase 2 and COMLEX Level 2 CE. The Campus Dean will review the remediation plan for a 2 nd COMSAE Phase 2 failure as set forth by CIFSS and the Associate Dean for OMS 4 and GME and may make additional recommendations as to the remediation process for the Comprehensive Review Course. o The remediation plan includes providing CIFSS with weekly updates regarding study plan progress and question bank performance. Additional requirements may be prescribed in the remediation plan. Students must follow and complete a prescribed remediation plan as designed in order to be released to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE. VCOM will monitor students’ progress toward completion of the prescribed remediation plan and readiness to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE, which may alter the tentative testing date established in the remediation plan. o Students who fail to participate in the prescribed remediation plan (which includes providing CIFSS with updates regarding study plan progress and question bank performance) or who have not participated in the required support meeting, will receive an “F” (Fail) grade for the course and will be placed on a temporary administrative withdrawal by the Campus Dean. These students will not be released to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE until the “F” grade is resolved, as they will not have successfully completed the OMS 3 year. • Students must complete the remediation plan and sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE prior to October 1st of their OMS 4 year. o Once students complete the remediation plan and sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE on the assigned date, they will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course II. o Those students who have not completed the plan and/or who have not sat for COMLEX Level 2 CE by prior to October 1st of their OMS 4 year
will receive an “INC” (Incomplete) grade for the course and will be placed on a temporary administrative withdrawal until they pass COMLEX Level 2 CE. These students will not be eligible for re enrollment or further financial aid until they pass COMLEX Level 2 CE. The period of withdrawal may not exceed 180 days in a 12-month period or an academic year.
