Tobacco-related advertising or sponsorship is not permitted on VCOM-managed property, including billboards or signage on campus and at VCOM-sponsored events or
in publications produced by VCOM. 5.6 Alcohol and Drug Free Campus
Drinking alcohol is not permitted on any VCOM campus or on any VCOM leased facility. This includes facilities, grounds, and any student housing. Use of any drugs other than those prescribed to the individual on campus is also not permitted. Students, faculty, and staff who appear intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs on campus may be required to submit to testing. When such testing occurs this will be done through the Associate Dean for Student Affairs (if a student) or through Human Resources (if an employee). VCOM uses a local laboratory for such services. VCOM provides confidential counseling free of charge on each VCOM Campus for students. Students are provided with information at the time of orientation and reminded yearly of the assistance. The Counselors from VCOM also hold many wellness programs for students and remind students of services available to them (health and counseling). VCOM also provides students information on self-screening to identify if a problem exists with alcohol, marijuana, and/or prescription drugs. These are supported by a private foundation and are free of charge: • Alcohol: https://app.screenu.org/screening/d014ad3f-5d98-4924-adf6 0fb596c9f119 • Marijuana: https://app.screenu.org/screening/bb164b41-e2f3-4e93-b777 a2d77c108619 • Prescription Drugs: https://app.screenu.org/screening/f781cfcf-2e57-4fc0-83e4 aa1eb91159d6 VCOM provides resources for employees through employee insurance for both addiction screening and/or treatment.
